Round 6 theme

Alrighty, contestants! Your theme for round 6 is....

Memories.

Your entries must be in at or before 11:59pm {CA time as usual} on Saturday, September 8. Like I say every round, be creative. Please, please, please focus on quality as well. Some of you have had really cute ideas in past rounds, but the quality isn't great. Get good lighting, make sure your doll looks nice, etc. Use. A. Tripod. It boosts the quality waaaayyyy up as well as it frees up your hands while shooting.

Priya with Penelope - I. Love. This. Oh my heavens. Seriously, this is almost exactly what I had in mind when I posted the theme... and it's so cute and well done! Great job!!

Willow with Josefina - I adore this one. It's very well set up, has good lighting, etc. Also, my family adopted two little girls from Africa last year, so this has special meaning to me. Great job to you too, Willow!

Unfortunately Lissie [with Dakota] did not send her entry in, so she is now out of the contest. ): That clears up my 'eliminating quota', though, so all 8 who sent in their entries are still in. I'll try to have your new theme up soon.

Hello, contestants--remember me?

Just wanted to let you know that your entries for round 4 are due tomorrow.... and I only have three out of nine. I REALLY wanted you all to get your entries in this time... so please do! You have until 11:59pm on August 22, California time. Remember, creativity and quality are what counts. I suggest using a tripod and not using the flash... get your entries in soon, please!!

I'm not being as vague for this theme (hurrah!), but I think it gives you a lot of variety. Like I say every time, be creative, use a tripod and remote shutter if you have them (this helps prevent blurriness), and get your pictures in!! Your entries are due..... Wednesday, August 22. Bekah with Alayna - I love this! The sunset behind Alayna is really pretty.

Madeline with Katie - Very nice detail. I can tell you put a lot of work into this!!

On slightly sadder note, if you are:

then you are, very unfortunately, out of the contest. Alisha had to drop out as she was not able to send a picture in this round, and there was some confusion over the due date so it's not anybody's fault for getting their picture in late, but as Quinlyn pointed out to me, if I let them stay in I would have to let anybody who sent their picture in late stay in. If that sentence even made any sense to you... but I'm very, very sorry to you three and I really hope you can compete next season!! You were all really amazing competitors. (:

I'll have the next theme up hopefully by tomorrow. If not, Sunday, as I'll be busy from Thursday to Saturday.

Entries are due tomorrow

The title says it all, people. I only have six out of twelve entries, and I REALLY don't want to have to eliminate anyone because they didn't send their picture in. Today and tomorrow (Saturday, August 4) are the only days you can send your picture in. Please, please, please get them in!! Remember, be creative with the theme. Go get shooting! (:
