Round 6!

There are 4 of you left in the contest. Congrats, girls! You've done brilliantly!


I'm thinking - how many rounds are there left to this season? I mean, this could be the second to last one - there might be just two people in the next round. Wow wow wow.



So this is a very important round. Do your best! Take your time, be creative, have fun. There's no saying who's going to make it to the next round...it's so suspenseful!



The theme for this round is.....


An Act of Kindness



Have you ever heard the saying "no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." (Aesop)? In this picture, I'd like for you to bring that thought into the picture. A picture of your dolls doing an act of kindness or someone doing an act of kindness for your doll - it sounds simple and original, but I'm sure you can make it into a wonderful picture (you guys always do!)



I really can't wait to see how this turns out.


I'll give you 10 days, I hope that will be fine for you all. That will be the Saturday the 5th But if you all get your pictures in earlier than that, I'll judge it sooner.

Update - Jasmine's Pic!

I'm so glad to announce that Jasmine is still in the contest!

Her computer-cord broke, so there was no way for her to send me her picture, and she has to wait to get a new one. So since it wasn't at all her fault, I let her use one of her older pictures that were already on her computer.

Here it is:





So cute! And that is certainly a favorite thing of mine...hehe :) I'm so glad she's still in the contest and that we sorted the problem out :)

Since there's just three pics, I won't be doing honorable mentions this time. Hope that's okay with you! Instead, I'll just say what I like about each one!

Iona's - I love how detailed it is! It's not just ONE favorite thing, it's lots of different things. Great job!

Karalee's - What a cute idea! All the dolls look so gorgeous!

Sonja's - So cute! It's well edited and I love the old-fashioned look to it.



I have to disqualify Livvy for not getting her picture in :( You did such a great job in this contest, Livvy! Congrats on making it so far!

Also - Jasmine emailed me last week saying that although she had the set-up for her picture all ready, the cord that she needed to upload her picture to her computer was lost, so she couldn't send her pic quite yet but that she could soon. I emailed back saying that I would give her some extra time since it wasn't her fault that she couldn't send the picture in. But she never sent in her pic after that, so I'm not sure what happened quite yet. I'll contact her about it and fill you in.

I just wanted to say that I haven't forgotten about Round 5! I'll be judging that very soon, I'm sorry to keep you all waiting :(


My family and I have been pretty busy, and I just got over being sick, so it's been hard to sort everything out.


But I promise that I will do it as soon as I can - hopefully tomorrow!

Round 5 theme!

Hey everyone!

Time for Round 5's theme!


I've been thinking about how it's the little things that make life so special. And sadly sometimes we take those little things granted. Ever seen The Sound of Music? There's a song in it that goes like this:

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things



So I've decided that the theme for this round is...

My Favorite Things.

- the things that make life special. What is something fun that you love or love doing? A hobby or a favorite book, maybe? You could make up your own idea or you could get something from the song if you'd like!

Good job everyone! It's cool to see all the different ways you brought the theme (which wasn't the easiest) into your pictures.

If I could, I'd give you all honorable mentions :D But here's three that really stood out to me:

Karalee - Beautiful! It's very detailed and I love the idea of "time-traveling through memories".

Jasmine - Again, very beautiful! (btw, the words say "to meet my grandma when she was a kid", just in case you can't see them) The idea was creative and the picture looks great!

Sonja - It's a lovely picture! Very artistic and well taken.



I want to mention that there was a mix-up about Gabrielle's picture, she didn't send it in during the last round, so unfortunately she's not in the contest anymore :( You did a great job Gabrielle!

Since we only have 7 people left, I'm going to disqualify 2 people instead of 3. This is a very, very had decision since you all are doing great. But - Anne and NuttiNetty. I'm so sad that you won't be in the contest anymore. You've both done great and I'll miss you both! Congrats on making it all the way to Round 4!
